He Pingping - the Shortest Man
Can you believe it? He is a 20 year old boy!
He Pingping, who only measures 73 centimeters (2.4 feet), is applying for the Guinness World Record as the world’s shortest man.
Mr. He Pingping was born in Huade county, Wulanchabu city in northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. His parents claim that He Pingping was only the size of an adult’s palm at birth, and they did not believe he could survive the first month. But He Pingping indeed grow up, although in a lonely environment due to his abnormal size. However, his tiny size also is one of his special advantages. In January, he had been interviewed by countless media, and he was even invited to a show in Tokyo, Japan. Due to his tiny size, he missed the opportunity to receive school education when he was a child. But he was a tender and sweet young guy. He is always willing to help other people, and feels a little bit shy when meet young girls. If we have to name one small “imperfection” about He Pingping - this young guy is a heavy smoker.
Interestingly, his home of Inner Mongolia is also the home to the world’s tallest man, Bao Xishun, who at 2.36 metres tall was recognized as the world’s tallest man in August 2007 by the Guinness World Records.
