Let’s watch the ceremony together!
The atmosphere in Beijing today is kind of likes the Chinese New Year’s Eve. The sky was cloudy in the afternoon, the street was empty, and most of stores and restaurants were closed at 6pm. We feel lucky it’s not raining right now, otherwise the opening ceremony might be totally ruined. Especially the calligraphy part of it, inks would be spilled everywhere. But a little bit of rain might also be a good thing for those people who are sitting in the Bird’s Nest right now. August is the hottest month of Beijing. From the live TV show we can see that these poor presidents, prime ministers and royalties must feel very hot. Not sure if the organizer has prepared a fun for everybody in the stadium, or only for VIP guests.
Generally speaking, the opening ceremony show is not bad so far. Good luck to the 2008 Beijing Olympics!
